Police Detain Fuji King Over Shooting of OOU student

Popular Fuji Musician Wasiu Ayinde, also known as KWAM 1 was detained and interrogated by the Ogun State Police Command for about seven hours on Tuesday over the shooting of Miss Azeez Kofoworola, a student of Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago-Iwoye, three weeks ago.
Alhaji Ayinde was invited three weeks ago by the police but the musician failed to show up but feelers told our correspondent that the police would have declared him wanted if he had failed to turn up on Tuesday.

On Tuesday the musician arrived the Eleweran Command headquarters of the police around 10:,30 am where he was detained and questioned for several hours before he was released on bail.
It will be recalled that Kofoworola of the Department of Business Education, was alleged to have been shot on Saturday, October 10 by one of the band members of KWAM 1 during a show at limelight hotel in Ago-Iwoye to mark the Ago-Iwoye day.

The acting Police Public Relations Officer , Abimbola Oyeyemi who confirmed the interrogation , said Wasiu’s case had been transferred to the Criminal Investigative and Intelligence Bureau on the order of the Commissioner of Police.

Oyeyemi further said that KWAM 1 left the premises of the Eleweran Command Headquarters around 5: 30p.m on the promise that he would make himself available for further police investigation.
It would be recalled that Kofoworola was said to have been hit by the bullet allegedly fired by King Wasiu Ayinde’s band boys while sitting inside an unregistered Honda Accord car belonging to an officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, identified as Hassan Afeez.
She was subsequently admitted at the General Hospital in Ijebu-Ode, for treatment.
